The Office for the Third Sector (OTS) have announced that Birmingham University will lead the new Third Sector Research Centre dedicated to analysing the impact of the sector's activities. The centre, set up following last year's Third Sector Review, will improve the quality and quantity of evidence available to support the work of third sector organisations. It will be funded with £10m from OTS, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Barrow Cadbury Trust.
