Politicians want community benefit clauses in public sector tenders
A group of MPs has called on the government to ensure local public service tenders take into account the benefits to a local area when a contract is given to a local organisation. This follows the announcement that Camden Council are trialling a new social procurement strategy developed in conjunction with the New Economics Foundation.
