Campaign group, Debt On Our Doorstep, is asking people to sign a petition and write to Business Secretary Vince Cable to act on predatory lenders that target poor households. The ‘high cost credit' industry is worth £7.5bn a year and the UK is one of only a tiny number of countries not to have any limit to the amount of interest that can be charged.
