The Audit Commission and the five other inspectorates responsible for assessing local public services in England have reported on the findings from the first year of Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) . The report describes how well local public services are delivering national and local priorities, what helps and hinders improvement and how some common challenges have been overcome.
