Francis Maude, the Minister for the Cabinet Office, has announced details of twelve public sector projects that will explore being run as mutuals by public sector staff working with voluntary organisations and supported by mentors from businesses and co-operatives.
In a speech to the Policy Exchange, Greg Clark, Minister for Decentralisation, has set out the ‘right to know', the ‘right to challenge', and ‘turning government on it's head' as the three fundamental actions required to decentralise power and build the Big Society.
