Empowerment Fund Consultation Response 2008 09

Urban Forum has submitted a response to Communities and Local Government's consultation on the proposed Empowerment Fund.

Urban Forum's conclusion was

"We welcome the Empowerment Fund proposals and suggested themes. We are however deeply concerned by the proposed thresholds and the limit for bids above 25% of turnover. We recommend that these be removed and replaced by a stronger focus on the outcomes applicants can deliver. Furthermore, there is a chronic need for similar investment from central government at a local level."
