Our events programme ranges from our annual conference to focused members events. Our outreach programme strengthens the link between community perspectives and our wider policy work. We aim to ensure that our policy work and evidence base is directly informed by intelligence on the ground.

Organised in partnership with The Centre for Sustainable Energy and hosted by the Greater London Authority, Barnsley MBC and Bristol City Council.
Enthusiastic locally elected councillors gathered together at these events to look at how they can drive the low carbon agendas forward in their communities and boroughs.

Evening Discussion

In partnership wih Brighton and Hove Community and Voluntary Sector Forum
Representatives from voluntary and community sector organisations and Urban Forum members were invited to this FREE evening discussion about the implications of the Big Society and the new government's priorities and policies. The discussion aimed to identify what community and voluntary groups wanted to achieve and some ways forward in the changing policy climate.

We are delighted that Vince Cable MP will be giving the keynote speech at Urban Forum's Annual Conference 2009 - It's The Stupid Economy. Mr Cable, who has been the voice of reason throughout the credit crisis, will speak to delegates as part of a packed programme.
The current financial crisis and recession has brought doom and gloom. There's less money to go round and more people needing help. But in every crisis there is an opportunity waiting to be grasped. We have the chance to ask some fundamental questions about how we do things and ask ‘what sort of society do we want to have in the future?'
