Captain's Log six seven twelve two zero zero four...
Have discovered large voluntary sector conference in the
earth town of Gateshead. Run by national community regeneration umbrella body,
Urban Forum, the conference will cover the earthlings journey to sustainable
communities.
Here in the twenty-third century we take sustainable communities
for granted but back then in 2004 it was still a process that needed explanation
and discussion.
It needed important earthlings like Regeneration Minister,
Lord Rooker, to give keynote speeches; plenty of thought-provoking and productive
workshops; dynamic debates held within a cohesive structure; and most of all,
a chance to network with other earthlings.
I have to get to this conference to see the voluntary sector
at its most effective......Warp Factor five, Mister Sulu!
