2008 MEMBERS SURVEY

This years' Members' Survey is now available.  In addition to the usual range of questions about Urban Forum's activities, we have added an Equality, Cohesion and Diversity Survey for you to complete.  To remind you of what we have been up to over the last fifteen months or so, we have also prepared a document listing Urban Forum's activities.

The Survey is currrently available on Survey Monkey HERE, and is also downloadable as a document HERE - to print off or email back to info@urbanforum.org.uk.  Member contacts will receive a hard copy with the next issue of Clearway.

We would be grateful if you could has completed the Survey by Friday 29th August and, as last year, the names of those responding will go into a hat for the prize of a FREE PLACE at our Annual Conference in Manchester in December.

2008 Extraordinary General Meeting

At the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 4th June 2008, Pam Stewart, of Westleigh Community Partnership in Wigan, was elected as Chair or Urban Forum.

2007 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of Diverse Cities - the company name of Urban Forum - took place on Monday 3rd December 2007 at the Hilton Leeds City hotel.

At the Meeting Sal Hampson, a partner in changes consultancy, was elected Vice-Chair, and Abu Nasir, Regeneration Projects Manager at Luton Borough Council, was elected as Treasurer.

The following were also elected to the Board of Trustees: Shamsher Chohan, Leicestershire Ethnic Minority Partnership

Jeanette Harold, Sunderland Community Network

Tony Harrison, Burnley Community Network - re-elected

Sally Hiscock, Brighton and Hove Community and Voluntary Sector Forum

Bernard Storey, Saltburn Gill Action Group - re-elected

The Meeting also saw the launch of the 2007 Annual Review.

How do I become an Urban Forum member and

what does it cost ?

The cost of joining Urban Forum currently ranges from £10 to £175, on a sliding scale based on your income/turnover.

   

Download a copy of the current Membership Application Form (including rates).  A Leaflet on membership to Urban Forum is also available.

Complete the form and email to info@urbanforum.org.uk, fax to 020 7253 4817, or send to Urban Forum, Freepost RRLJ-SRGG-ABJG, London N1 6DR.

What are the benefits of membership to Urban Forum ?

  • A regular subscription to Urban Forum's bi-monthly house magazine - Clearway.
  • Other free Urban Forum briefings and reports - essential to keep a grip on current issues.

Who are Urban Forum's members ?

Membership to Urban Forum is available to all organisations and individuals.  Full Membership, with the sole additional benefit of voting rights at annual general meetings, is open to any voluntary and community sector non-for-profit organisation.  Other organisations and individuals are Associate Members of Urban Forum.

Urban Forum currently has around 250 members, almost 80% of which are voluntary and community sector organisations.  The remainder are a mix of individuals, private sector companies and public sector bodies.

Member input in Urban Forum's work is a priority for the organisation and many of the elements in the package of benefits for members are directed towards ensuring a continuing process of engagement with, and response to, your needs.
