Final Citizenship Survey findings published

The results of the 2010-11 Citizenship Survey of almost 16,000 people have been published with details of levels of volunteering and civic participation. The survey found that 74% of people felt it was important to have influence over local decision making but only 38% felt they could influence decisions. This will be the last survey of its kind as the government has decided it is too expensive to continue.
