40 new urban and rural areas will be joining 50 other communities who are currently trialling the introduction of neighbourhood plans. The Neighbourhood Planning ‘front runners' will each receive £20,000 from the Department for Communities and Local Government to develop plans in advance of the Localism Bill being enacted.
