We produce a number of different types of publication, here are what each of them are:

• Briefings
  Our Briefings take a policy document or government publication and summarise it in an accessible and relevant way. Our Briefings explain things in an objective way, giving you the essential information in an easily undertstandable form. For important policy documents, we also produce an FAQs - or Frequently Asked Questions - with the key questions (and answers) about a particular policy.
• Clearway Magazine
  Our regular magazine for members, Urban Clearway, contains all the Urban Forum news, project profiles and case studies, as well as information about particular policy development and comment and analysis. Now available to download online, printed versions of Clearway are sent to all member representatives.
• Comment & Analysis
  As well as explaining a policy report (in our Briefings) we also consider what the effect of a policy might be, or the conclusions of research we have conducted. In our Comment and Analysis articles, you will find an examination of what a policy is like to mean in practice with all the strengths and weaknesses.
• Consultations
  Urban Forum regularly responds to government and public agencies consultations to reflect the inerests and experience of our members. In our Consultations section you can find out what we've said in response to formal consultations.
• Handy Guides
  Our Handy Guides provide the essential practical information needed to understand an aspect of policy or practice. They cover essential areas such as Local Strategic Partnerships, the Planning System and How Your Council Works. You can download all our Handy Guides and free printed copies are sent to all members. Forthcoming Handy Guides are planned on Local Area Agreements and Engaging in Local Development.
• Research Reports
  Our research provides a critical part of our work - giving us the evidence base we use to inform our policy development work. In Research Reports, you can read the findings and conclusions from research we have conducted. Our research reports cover topics including; Community Empowerment Networks and Local Area Agreements and Women and BME involvement in Local Strategic Partnerships.
• Policy Round-up
  Our monthly Policy Round-up provides all the latest news and information on policy development, research and issues affecting the third sector.
