Consultation on the Future of Local Public Audit
The Department for Communities and Local Government is consulting on plans for a new devolved framework for auditing local public services. This follows the announcement that they plan to scrap the Audit Commission which had overseen inspection and audit of local authorities. The consultation runs until 30th June 2011.
