Information events on the coalition's priorities, the Comprehensive Spending review (taking place on the 20th October 2010) and Big Society.
Representatives from voluntary and community sector organisations and Urban Forum members were invited to these FREE half-day sessions to help them understand the implications of the Big Society and the new government's priorities and policies.

WHAT THE EVENTS WERE ABOUT
There was analysis and practical advice from Urban Forum on what was coming and where the opportunities lay. There were chances to discuss the practical implications of the plans and help inform policy development work with the new government.
The sessions covered:
- Government priorities and its legislative programme
- ‘Big Society' and the government's approach to working with voluntary and community groups
- What the Emergency Budget on 22nd June and the forthcoming spending review meant for spending plans and cuts
