The Women's Diversionary Fund has just been announced to provide grants to Third Sector organisations to support community services for women, and contribute to building the confidence of courts in alternatives to custody. The joint fund has been established by the Ministry of Justice and the Corston Independent Funders' Coalition, each contributing £1 million, to help transform the way women are treated by the criminal justice system.
