Urban Forum has produced a Briefing on the Principles of Representation. The idea of the principles originated in the Local Government White Paper (2006).

DCLG committed to working with national third sector umbrella bodies to come up with draft principles. These guiding principles are aimed to help local third sector bodies develop arrangements that strengthen their representation and widen participation with LSP partners.
