Communities and Local Government (CLG) are inviting Local Authorities to submit proposals under the Sustainable Communities Act 2007, to promote the sustainability of local communities by encouraging economic, social or environmental improvements. The deadline for proposals is 31st July 2009 to give enough time for Local Authorities to develop panels of local representatives and engage communities in the process.
