Public officials and community involvement in local services
New research published by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation examines community involvement in local services with an emphasis on the role of public officials - officers and managers employed by public bodies. Most public officials had very positive views and feelings about engagement. Almost all felt community engagement was valuable in principle but there was more uncertainty about putting it into practice.
