Real Help for Communities: Volunteers, Charities and Social Enterprises
The Cabinet Office has announced a £42.5 million action plan to help third sector organisations increase support for vulnerable people during the economic downturn. ‘Real Help for Communities: Volunteers, Charities and Social Enterprises' includes a £15.5 million Community Resilience Fund to provide grants to community groups, a £10 million volunteer brokerage scheme for unemployed people and £16.5 million to help groups share back office functions.
