Regional Development Agencies under fire from Tories
Shadow Communities and Local Government Minister, Stewart Jackson, has announced that if elected, the Conservatives would scrap RDAs within their first week of power. RDA funding would be handed to elected local mayors instead, though the possibility for the North East's RDA and the London Development Agency being retained was not ruled out.
